Zagreb - Hotel Jagerhorn

by Natasa Lujic
(Dubrovnik)

Hotel Jagerhorn was first opened in 1827 and it offers modernly refurbished accommodations between the main pedestrian street and the historic quarter of Zagreb close to Ban Jelacic Square. The history of Jaegerhorn dates back to the beginning of the 19th century, making us the oldest standing hotel in Zagreb. In 1827, the hotel was acquired by family Rumleitner from Vrbovac, who renamed the property from "Austria's prince" to Jaegerhorn.

With time Jaegerhorn established itself as a cultural and political icon of Zagreb, noted by many historical accounts linking our name to many Croatian historical figures such as the central person of the Croatian national reformation Ljudevit Gaj, Ban Josip Jelačić, and others. Zagreb's main street, Ilica, leads you to our hotel; an intimate and peaceful oasis right in the heart of town.

With all of 13 rooms, a spacious lounge and terrace, we aim to provide guests with a comfortable and authentic experience of Zagreb, as well as guiding you through our illustrious past. Standing the test of time, for almost two hundred years we have guarded our tradition and the spirit of the city.
