Lopud Island

by Natasa Lujic
(Dubrovnik)

Delaphodia is the ancient Greek name for the island of Lopud. Central island of the Elaphite chain, Lopud boasts a rich maritime tradition, especially during the time of the Dubrovnik Republic.

Lopud's galleys participated in Spanish raids on Tunis, Algeria, Portugal and even Armada against England. A visit will be made to the 15th century monastery and church museum. Time at leisure here before returning to Dubrovnik. Transfer, guide and entrance fees included.
