Before - Croatia goatshed; After - holiday house for 15!
How to upgrade a Croatia goatshed. An (ultimately) happy story about how one family from Stoke took this goat's home
and turned it into a palace which sleeps fifteen (starting from a 15m2 footprint)...

It was the toughest of all real estate sells. A tiny goatshed, measuring just 6m x 4m on the outside, a mere 5m x 3m on the inside, was going to be hard to shift even in the madness of the 2004 Croatia property boom. Advantages - good sea view and small piece of land (150m2). Disadvantages - huge crack in one of the walls, located in a dead village (population 10). Asking price 25,000 euro, which was going to take a special kind of sales approach. The shed was barely big enough for one goat, never mind the family of four from Cambridge who decided it would be their perfect addition to their property portfolio. They could see the potential that I couldn't, and I wished them luck. My job was to ensure clean title and a good contract with the lawyer. I had sold my goatshed, but it was to come back to me a year later, as the family of four decided they wanted to sell. If selling a goatshed with room for a married couple of goats at best to a family of four was an achievement, the crowning glory was the resale to The Goatshed Family, all five of them... (More coming soon...)
