5D Museum - Dubrovnik

In early June, in the Monastery of St.. Clare opened the higher 5D Dubrovnik Museum. This is the first virtual museum in this part of the world, in which visitors can walk through the history of the destruction of Epidaurus, hanging out with St. Blaise, through the arrival of the Slavs and Avars, the fight with the Arabs, Crusaders, to the war and the procession of St.. Blaise on Stradun, which completes the historical complex.


- The three-dimensional projections resembling those in the multiplexes, the audience will be moving scenes in the Croat scourge Velebit wind scene in the great earthquake from 1667. year, which is one of the most beautiful moments in the program, you will feel even the ground shake. Therefore, in the name of the museum uses the term 5D, not 3D. Ancic said that similar content exists only in Italy, but that this is a two-dimensional projections. Visitors will be able to hear the other verses of hymns to freedom from the mouth of virtual Gundulića, and learn to dance with Lindo hologram. All the facilities were simultaneously translated into six different languages.

Ancic, who is in the entire project entered its own funds, with the help of several local investors' hopes that an investment of 23 million recovered in two to three years, counting the number of 400,000 visitors a year. The project was attended by producer Branko Lustig several times awarded Oscars for best film.
