While we aim to become your main point of reference, we also want to hear from you. We want to showcase the hidden places - small businesses both local and foreign that do not get the exposure in English that they deserve. But we also want to make it a fun site, rather just an information service, and so we will be doing some stories about life here, kicking off with how a family from Stoke turned a goatshed on Hvar into a family home sleeping fifteen. Comments welcome!

While we will cover the popular territory - where to stay, nudist beaches, restaurants and ferry schedules, we also want to go beyond the stereotypes to bring you more about life here and to highlight areas where there is a paucity of information - disabled access, things to do for children, gay Croatia and an imminent section on wildlife. We will also be delving into local history and bringing you tales and sounds of historical Croatia shortly. We will be providing practical information on living in Croatia, such as how to get a residence permit, pay your electricity bill and check your property registration progress online. We are slowly building up an impressive collection of maps, from the historical to the modern, and our weather section will be boosted by regional webcams shortly.

There are numerous sites which can show you the nightlife in Hvar Town and the swanky bars in Dubrovnik and, while we will cover these sections, our focus is to feature alternative holiday options which do not receive as much coverage. How about an off-season olive-picking holiday in November, or some dry stone walling or bird-watching. Perhaps you want to learn to sail? Or learn Croatian (information on language courses will appear shortly)? We will be featuring quality accommodation away from the party towns, such as the Quaich Experience and alternative holiday options such as this great farm holiday.

The sailing section is growing daily and you can find a variety of useful information as well as being able to book your mooring online and have your onling shopping delivered to your boat when you arrive.
